About the Role: Strategic HR Business Partner
In this critical role, you will provide HR business support and partnership to drive an engaged workforce and a more productive business. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the execution of people strategies, responding to day-to-day HR activities, and partnering with key Gap Inc. HR solution centers to deliver results against our people strategies. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with leaders to advise on people and organization impact of business plans and decisions, ensuring that our workforce is empowered to achieve its full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support on people and organizational issues, leveraging resources, programs, and tools to achieve desired outcomes.
 - Actively participate with leaders to advise on people and organization impact of business plans and decisions, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
 - Implement strategies to improve employee engagement year over year, as measured through our continuous listening process, and analyze HR metrics to identify business opportunities.
 - Support talent management and succession planning activities within the business, proactively partnering with the business and HR partners in Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to strengthen our talent pipeline.
 - Deploy retention strategies to promote organizational stability, ensuring that our workforce is motivated, engaged, and equipped to drive business growth.
 
Who You Are: A Seasoned HR Professional
To succeed in this role, you will have proven success and expertise as a Human Resource generalist, with a strong foundation in most HR disciplines, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational development, talent management, and talent acquisition. You will possess a high level of personal and professional integrity and ethics, with excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills. A strong business orientation, drive for results, and desire to win will be essential in driving our business forward.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Human Resource generalist, with a strong track record of driving employee engagement and business growth.
 - Comfort with most HR disciplines, including employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational development, talent management, and talent acquisition.
 - High level of personal and professional integrity and ethics, with excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
 - Strong business orientation, drive for results, and desire to win, with the ability to assess situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend talent solutions.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
 - Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
 - Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with distributed teams.
