Job Overview:
SOAZ is seeking a Data Entry Specialist to join the HIV Surveillance Team at the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS). This is a remote role for local candidates only. The selected candidate must have a working computer or laptop, as equipment will not be provided.
This role supports the Bureau of Infectious Disease and Services by performing specialized administrative duties, including timely and accurate data entry, quality control, record management, and other administrative support tasks. The position involves handling confidential health information, so adherence to ADHS confidentiality policies is required. A private workspace is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter data accurately into electronic data systems.
• Perform quality control to prevent duplicates and ensure data accuracy.
• Sort paper and electronic records.
• Support with obtaining missing information from laboratories.
• Provide administrative support to Bureau staff.
• Follow established data entry and data quality guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive health information.
• Required Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of data entry experience.
• Experience in the health field.
• Ability to provide own computer or laptop for work.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with medical data software such as Medsic, EHARS, Prism.
Previous medical data entry experience.
• Additional Requirements:
Must have a private place to work without interruptions.
