About the Role

As a Group Manager, Global Coffee and Tea, Strategy, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Starbucks' coffee and tea business. You'll develop and drive the cross-channel, enterprise coffee and tea growth strategy to meet global business objectives. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with various stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and develop the cross-channel, enterprise coffee and tea growth strategy to drive business results.
  • Lead strategic planning for coffee and tea on behalf of the global enterprise, including operational and financial planning.
  • Drive key business problem-solving efforts, identifying and defining key issues, developing hypotheses, and designing required analyses.
  • Manage and review team analyses to ensure integrity and accuracy.
  • Create structured yet compelling presentations that outline key business issues, new insights, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with global in-market teams, coffee and tea development teams, global drink product and R&D teams, and equipment development teams to deliver the pipeline of coffee and tea to the business units.
  • Brief innovation needs to Coffee and Tea Development and Innovation, Beverage Development, and Equipment Development teams.
  • Partner with global coffee trading teams and FSC (Farmer Support Center) to identify business opportunities for growth, investment, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Drive internal "ministry" for coffee and tea storytelling and brand-building, influencing across the organization for maximum brand and business impact.
  • Communicate team recommendations to senior leaders and handle various forms of feedback.
  • Manage overall project work plans, defining approach, timing, and key deliverables.
  • Excel at scaling influence by effectively managing and working with others, inspiring partners to achieve business results.
  • Support business operations for the Global Coffee and Tea organization, addressing long-term strategic needs, establishing cadence of the business, and developing scorecards and analysis to support strategies and KPIs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Moderate experience in strategy, product, or brand management.
  • Strategic management consulting, brand management, or general management experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to executive-level audiences.
  • Experience in data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Strong project leadership skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficiency in Human-Centered Design (HCD), advanced skills in financial modeling, and ability to build executive-ready presentations.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence within a matrixed organization.

  • Moderate experience in strategy/internal consulting.
  • Passion for coffee and tea!
