As a part-time Financial Analyst in our Global Vendor and Organization Services (GM&NS) team, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability. Our team is responsible for the single largest source of blithequark's revenue: Trader Markdown Income. We work closely with colleagues across the organization to determine the optimal pricing strategy that enables vendor acceptance of blithequark while driving improved inclusion and vendor satisfaction.
**About the Role**
As a Financial Analyst, you'll be responsible for determining and reporting on dealer markdown income for the Canada region. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple organizations and stakeholders by aligning the association's objective for profitable charge volume and vendor growth, essential for the strength of our business.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Create a Canada figure for shipper rebate income track month-to-month execution against forecast and recognize drivers of change
* Develop vendor rebate income scorecards for the Canada district
* Drive normalization and process improvement among the different local pricing groups for all reporting and determining related activities
* Support external reviews including investigating issues found, reaching out to the provincial pricing groups that manage the vendor relationship to discuss issues, and managing goals
* Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights
**Essential Qualifications:**
* 2+ years' experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other finance-related roles
* Four-year college degree required; strongly preferred in finance/Accounting/Business
* High proficiency with Excel is required
* Strong attention to detail and organization
* Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from large datasets
* Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required
* Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
* Strong relationship with management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives
* Strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a high-speed, dynamic team environment, which places an emphasis on driving results
* An innovative thinker who will challenge conventional approaches and develop new ways to tackle old challenges
* Strong project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution
* Enthusiastic focus on the client; demonstrated desire to understand and address client needs and pain points
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests and priorities as needed
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
* Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques
* Experience with data mining and machine learning algorithms
* Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of financial services industry trends and challenges
