Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver teletherapy services to K12 students in the and around Chester, VA. You will manage a virtual caseload, provide direct and indirect services, collaborate with educators and caregivers, and maintain required documentation, all from your own remote work setup.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide live, synchronous teletherapy (direct services) to assigned students
• Plan and deliver indirect services including assessments, progress monitoring, IEP/504 updates, parent/teacher consultations
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation (treatment plans, progress notes, reports)
• Collaborate virtually with school staff, teachers, parents, and other professionals
• Participate in IEP/eligibility meetings as needed via video conference
• Adhere to state and local guidelines, compliance, and confidentiality (HIPAA/FERPA)
• Maintain ongoing communication with Sunbelts Clinical Support Team
Qualifications / Requirements
• Valid Virginia SLP license (or eligibility)
• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent certification)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong comfort level with technology (video conferencing tools, teletherapy platforms, digital collaboration tools)
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage virtual caseload
• Reliable high-speed internet, computer with webcam, and quiet workspace
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
• Prior experience with remote therapy / telepractice
• Familiarity with virtual assessment tools
• Experience collaborating with school districts and educational platforms
Hours & Schedule
• Flexible; options for full-time (e.g. 3537.5 hours/week) or part-time
• Monday through Friday scheduling typical, but may vary based on district needs
• Some evening or makeup sessions may be required
