About the position
Responsibilities
• Administer a variety of diagnostic audiological exams.
• Counsel patients, families, and physicians regarding test results.
• Review options that best meet patients' hearing healthcare needs.
• Perform audiological services in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hearing and balance disorders.
• Evaluate, order, and dispense hearing aids and cochlear implants.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations and newborn hearing screenings.
• Assess candidacy of patients with hearing loss for hearing aids and implantable devices.
• Facilitate departmental practice by scheduling and coordinating appointments.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new employees as assigned.
• Fit and calibrate hearing aids for patients and conduct auditory brainstem response evaluations as needed.
Requirements
• Master's degree in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in state of practice.
• 1 year of experience in the audiology field.
• Current hearing aid license in state of practice.
Nice-to-haves
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals.
