Area Innovation Manager, Endoscopy
Description:
• Field-based Medtronic Endoscopy (GI) sales position calling on MSO/IDN headquarters, Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC), and physician offices within an assigned geographic area
• Focus on protecting and expanding utilization of Medtronic artificial intelligence through the GI Genius platform by executing market development and sales-oriented activities
• Align with internal and external stakeholders to execute and accelerate meaningful outcomes for strategic organizational initiatives
• Transfer knowledge and best practices to accelerate technology adoption across the sales force
• Develop solutions to a broad range of account-level issues requiring cross-functional interactions and leadership
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas by driving product adoption and delivering clinical and economic value
• Demonstrate expertise in artificial intelligence trends and competitive landscape to position Medtronic AI platforms as market leader
• Target, convert, and install new GI Genius accounts at enterprise-level MSO/IDN headquarters, Hospitals and ASCs
• Define direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy
• Integrate Medtronic GI portfolio into GI Genius sales processes and document sales achievement
• Represent organization as primary contact for specific projects and initiatives and negotiate/influence decision-making
• Develop the sales and clinical organization in territory by sharing product expertise and sales knowledge
• Provide solution-oriented strategies to facilitate product adoption and accelerate sales growth
• Establish relationships with healthcare executives, physicians and KOLs and interact to close sales and drive utilization
• Provide clinical product demonstrations and education; understand and articulate clinical and journal evidence
• Maintain comprehensive CRM activity, present pipeline and forecasts; complete administrative responsibilities (expense reports, sales reports, online trainings)
• Adhere to Medtronic code of conduct and credentialing requirements for patient-facing field employees
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Complete knowledge of company products and services
• Proven consistent record of accomplishment of sales success (quarterly and yearly sales quota)
• Demonstrated clinical, technical, and business excellence with GI Genius
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in O365 suite & Salesforce.com
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all functional areas
• Demonstrated business planning and forecasting excellence
• Medical device/equipment sales experience
• Experience selling to physicians in a procedural setting
• Degree with emphasis in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related technical field (nice to have)
• Enterprise level technical sales, with life science, healthcare, or software (SaaS, PaaS, SaMD) background strongly preferred
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnights (significant travel required – 75%)
• Ability to position Medtronic AI platforms and interact with healthcare executives and KOLs
