Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer calls, engaging with entrepreneurs and business leaders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of American Express products and services, including Small Business Services (SBS) offerings
- Convey complex product information in a clear and concise manner, highlighting key features, benefits, and value propositions
- Continuously develop and refine your sales skills, including building rapport, identifying customer needs, handling objections, and closing deals
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to account-related inquiries and resolving issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to established policies and procedures
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity, complying with regulatory and compliance guidelines related to customer support and sales practices
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of building customer loyalty through exceptional listening, consultative relationship-building, and effective communication
- Demonstrated success in a customer support and sales environment, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- The ability to multitask, navigate multiple electronic systems, and work in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
- A high school diploma or equivalent; education benefits are available for eligible candidates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
