About the Role: Travel Consultant - Travel & Lifestyle Services
As a Travel Consultant with American Express, you will be at the forefront of delivering bespoke travel experiences to discerning clients. This role is not just about booking travel arrangements; it's about understanding the client's needs, preferences, and aspirations to curate journeys that are nothing short of extraordinary. Based in Atlanta, USA, and working in a remote capacity, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, client satisfaction, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-caliber client service through inbound call handling, ensuring that every interaction is personalized and memorable.
 - Enchant Superior Card Members with extraordinary travel experiences by assisting with new bookings and existing travel arrangements, tailoring each journey to their unique preferences.
 - Understand client needs through consultative conversations, leveraging multi-channel servicing to deliver creative and exceptional communications.
 - Research, plan, and execute customized travel experiences, including booking domestic and international flights, car, and hotel travel arrangements that meet the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
 - Communicate new and existing product offerings and incentives relevant to the Card Member, always keeping their interests at the forefront.
 - Embody the Enrollment First approach, delivering brilliant service and results that are central to the American Express brand promise.
 
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree, demonstrating a solid educational foundation.
 - High-end client support or sales jobs experience in the travel industry, hospitality, or related sectors, showcasing your ability to deliver premium service.
 - Proven capacity to provide top-tier client service, preferably in a call center or similar fast-paced, high-volume servicing environment.
 - Fundamental geography knowledge with the ability to identify continents, countries, and key travel destinations worldwide, ensuring you can navigate the complexities of global travel with ease.
 - An inspirational attitude and outlook, characterized by a desire to learn, a willingness to try new things, resilience through change, and a positive mindset.
 - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and adapt your conversation style to suit the situation and the Card Member's communication preferences.
 - PC literacy and the ability to navigate various computer applications and devices with ease, including proficiency in MS Office.
 - The capacity to thrive in an outcome-centered environment, with a strong desire to meet and exceed goals.
 - Flexibility to work late shifts and weekends as required, given the 24/7 nature of the service provided to Card Members.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in the travel industry, travel, hospitality, journey, and tours, which is highly preferred.
 
Additional Requirements:
This is a hybrid role that requires the ability to come into the office at least 3 times a week during the term of training and during your first year at Amex.
