Responsibilities

As a caregiver with TheKey, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional care: Providing personalized care and services to our clients in their homes.
  • Assisting with daily tasks: Helping clients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, mobility assistance, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding, and meal preparation.
  • Providing companionship: Offering social and emotional support to clients and engaging in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Prioritizing client safety and satisfaction: Ensuring that clients receive high-quality care and services that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Performing administrative duties: Documenting task completion and reporting changes in clients' physical condition, mental capacity, or behavior.
  • Providing transportation: Transporting clients to and from appointments as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful as a caregiver with TheKey, you'll need:

  • At least one year of caregiving experience: We prefer candidates with experience in caregiving, but we're open to considering candidates with family or professional experience.
  • HCA/PER ID registration: We prefer candidates with HCA/PER ID registration, but we're willing to help candidates obtain the necessary certifications.
  • Alzheimer's or dementia experience: Experience working with clients with Alzheimer's or dementia is a plus.
  • Empathy, compassion, and kindness: We're looking for caregivers who are compassionate, empathetic, and kind.
  • Ability to use sound judgement: Caregivers must be able to use sound judgement and remain calm in a variety of situations.
  • Reliability and dependability: Caregivers must be reliable, dependable, and on-time.
  • Basic computer skills: Caregivers must have basic computer skills and be technically savvy.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.: Caregivers must have proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Background check and references: Caregivers must be able to pass a background check and provide references.
  • TB test: Caregivers must have a TB test within 90 days of hire.
  • Reliable means of transportation: Caregivers must have a reliable means of transportation to get to and from work.
