Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our database management systems. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and managing high-performance databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability. This is a unique opportunity to join a talented team and contribute to the development of our database infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain database management systems, including data models, schema, and database objects
 - Ensure data integrity, security, and availability, implementing data backup and recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans
 - Collaborate with development teams, server administrators, and stakeholders to optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
 - Develop and enforce database standards, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring compliance with industry trends and regulations
 - Provide technical support to clients, resolving issues, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner
 - Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 support for critical database issues
 - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in database administration
 
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in MS SQL database administration in an online business environment
 - 3+ years of experience with social database implementation procedures
 - 3+ years of experience using Execute SQL
 - 3+ years of experience with database design and architecture following best practices in an OLTP environment
 - Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery design
 - Experience in performance tuning and capacity planning
 - Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure database services and offerings
 - Understanding of industry best practices related to relational database management systems
 - Knowledge of database connectivity at logical and physical levels
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based database services, such as Microsoft Azure
 - Knowledge of scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python
 - Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning tools
 - Certification in database administration, such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
