Scrum Master (Remote Opportunity)
                                VetsEZ is seeking a Scrum Master to join a 100% remote team to support a large federal government project. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to lead Agile practices for multiple teams, manage and prioritize work through the backlog, creatively solve problems to accomplish outcomes, track team output and achievement, and identify continuous process improvement opportunities.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
• Lead and facilitate scrum meetings (PI Planning, Retrospectives, Daily Stand-ups, Demos, etc.) and eliminate blockers.
• Ensure scrum values and practices are upheld but should also remain flexible and open to opportunities for the team to improve their workflow.
• Analyze backlog, sprint velocity, and PI plan and detect problems such as risks, delays, unmet deliverables, and scope.
• Within each Wave for each sprint, create and generate sprint burndown charts and velocity reports from Jira/Xray/Agile IQ based on the backlog information to evaluate and improve the team efficiency and work prioritization.
• Participate in IV&V Implementation Wave Test Planning and produce execution Metrics (weekly and cumulative).
• Advise government personnel on improvements to the standardization of processes.
• Promote Agile quality practices, coordinate across organizations, and serve as a resource to answer questions.
• Lead and build relationships to encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation across a highly cross-functional Agile software development team supporting CI/CD.
• Assist in the coordination with senior-level client leadership teams in client-delivery engagements.
• Coordinate with Test Leads in assisting junior members of a project team.
• Coach team members and organization to use Agile practices and values.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific /technical discipline is required.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience is required.
• Experience leading an Agile development team with automating application deployments, scaling, and management.
• Proven experience with large-scale software development, data management, and software integration projects.
• Experience facilitating briefings to senior leadership and the strong ability to capture actions resulting from meetings and requests.
Additional Qualifications
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) and Kanban agile methods.
• Experience with Project and Configuration Management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally Software, Github, Agility, etc.) is desirable.
• Experience with the Department of Veteran Affairs, tools, processes, and frameworks is a plus.
• Experienced in technical disciplines and technical background.
