About the Role
The Trip Assignment Specialist plays a critical role in the smooth operation of blithequark's services, acting as the linchpin in assigning trips to dispatchers and Care Partners during the night shift. This position requires a unique blend of organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a high volume of trips, ensuring that they are correctly assigned based on various criteria, including language requirements and Care Partner availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assign Trips to Dispatchers: Manage the assignment of approximately 700-900 trips per night to dispatchers through the Health-E Rides system, ensuring that trips are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Determine Dispatcher Eligibility: Assess the eligibility of dispatchers for specific trips based on factors such as language proficiency to ensure that members' needs are met.
- Stack Trips for Care Partners: Organize and stack trips for contracted Care Partners, optimizing routes and schedules to enhance service delivery.
- Handle Inbound Calls: Respond to calls from members during evening hours, addressing their needs and coordinating trips as necessary.
- Coordinate Evening Trips: Manage incoming trip requests during the night shift, ensuring seamless coordination and assignment.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks related to Care Partners, including payment processing and resolving Level 1 tickets in Zendesk.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Previous Experience in Dispatching/Transportation Coordination: A background in dispatching or coordinating transportation services is crucial, with a proven track record of managing high volumes and ensuring timely service delivery.
- Reliability and Flexibility: The ability to work consistently reliable evening shifts (11:30 pm to 8 am PT) from Monday night to Friday night is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare Experience: Experience within the healthcare sector is highly desirable, as it brings an understanding of the specific needs and sensitivities required in medical transportation services.
