We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Seasonal Customer Service Representative to join our Donor Contact Services team. As a key liaison and "voice of Blithequark" to our valued donors and the general public, you will provide exceptional customer service, support our Gift Catalog, and contribute to the success of our mission-driven programs.

About the Role

As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative within our Donor Contact Services Call Center, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer experiences, building donor relationships, and promoting our programs, including disaster relief, education, health, clean water, and more. You will begin with an approximately 3-week paid Training Program to gain a comprehensive understanding of the position and develop the essential skills required to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to current and potential donors through inbound and occasional outbound calls, responding to their inquiries, and addressing their concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Maintain reliable, regular attendance, reporting to work on time, and returning from breaks and lunches on time to ensure seamless operations.
  • Utilize active listening skills to assess callers' needs, input information accurately and efficiently using data entry and ten-key skills, and respond to up-sell opportunities.
  • Develop skills to effectively communicate Blithequark's involvement in ministries and projects around the world, and be sensitive to donor needs, praying with them when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with team members when assigned to work as a member of a team, and perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Donor Contact Services team.
  • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities, referencing and following organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements and Skills

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school graduate/GED or equivalent required, as well as basic routine work experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year previous customer service/sales work experience or call center experience preferred.
  • Required minimum typing speed of 20 wpm.
  • Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection, with an average minimum download speed of 25 mbps, and an average upload speed of 6 mpbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the use of proper grammar in written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to keep composure during challenging situations and work efficiently while maintaining an appropriate level of speed.
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility, and willingness to accept constructive feedback, instruction, and direction.
  • Prior experience using Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word, Teams) and ability to learn new software platforms.
