Job Summary

As an Online Instructor - Psychology at BRCC, you will be responsible for teaching online psychology courses, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student learning outcomes. You will work closely with the Department Chair and academic program manager to ensure that courses are delivered with excellence and that students receive the support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities

  • Teach online psychology courses, including lecture and discussion sections
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings and events
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
  • Provide support and guidance to students, both online and offline
  • Stay current with developments in the field of psychology and incorporate new ideas and approaches into teaching
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and program initiatives

Essential Qualifications

  • Master's degree in psychology or a master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in psychology
  • Strong knowledge of psychology theories, concepts, and research methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to teach online and use digital tools to support student learning
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous online teaching experience
  • Experience with online learning platforms and tools
  • Familiarity with BRCC's policies and procedures
  • Certifications in online teaching

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $2,295 per 3 credit course taught. We offer a range of benefits, including:
