Job Summary

We're seeking an exceptional Math Instructor / Tutor to join our team in San Antonio, TX. As a Math Instructor / Tutor, you'll have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels, providing personalized instruction and guidance to help them achieve their full potential. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, offering a competitive salary and a unique career path that's focused on making a positive impact in your community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students within our center
• Become proficient with our digital educational materials and processes
• Assess student progress throughout instructional sessions and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience
• Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

• A passion for math and working with students
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I (Ideal candidates will be proficient through Calculus II)
• The ability to work 2-3 shifts per week during center hours (Mon - Thursday 3:30 - 7:30 and Sat 10 am - 1 pm)
• A willingness to learn and be trained in our proprietary Mathnasium Method

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

• Previous experience working with students in a math education setting
• A degree in mathematics, education, or a related field
• Experience with digital educational materials and online learning platforms

Compensation and Benefits

We're offering a competitive salary of $11 - $14 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you'll also be eligible for:
