Behaviorist - Hybrid position ***WAYNE, NJ AND SURROUNDING AREA***
                                About the position
Responsibilities
• Conduct direct and indirect assessments.
• Collect data using an online data collection system (catalyst).
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write functional behavior assessments and behavior support plans with guidance from the BCBA.
• Collaborate with the BCBA to create and implement behavior intervention plans.
• Analyze and assess data collected through the catalyst system.
• Meet regularly with the BCBA to discuss individual progress.
• Train staff and caregivers on implementing behavior support plans.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with parents and caregivers.
• Respect cultural diversity and adapt ABA procedures accordingly.
• Provide feedback and model behavior support plan implementation as needed.
• Complete SOAP notes per visit and conduct periodic reassessments.
Requirements
• Must have experience in positive behavior support and/or applied behavior analysis.
• 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must be a registered behavior technician (RBT) or have a Bachelor's degree in a related field (applied behavioral analysis, psychology, special education, social work, public health counseling) with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish, ASL) are a plus.
• Valid driver's license (not to exceed 5 points).
• Must consent to and pass State/Federal Criminal Background and Central Registry checks.
Nice-to-haves
• Bilingual in Spanish or American Sign Language (ASL).
