About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our customers, particularly in the area of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You will participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns, responding to customer inquiries, and providing support via phone and other communication channels. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns based on assigned call lists, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Adhere to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines, ensuring that all interactions with customers are professional and informative.
  • Provide consistent, high-quality service to customers, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Utilize software, scripts, and tools to document customer interactions, track issues, and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Employ active listening skills to understand customer needs and provide personalized support.
  • Appropriately document all encounters in clear and concise online logs, ensuring that accurate records are maintained.
  • Direct callers to the appropriate party if necessary, ensuring that customers receive the support they need.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives, contributing to a positive and productive team environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Four to six months of customer service experience in a call center environment.
  • Skills:
    • Good customer service skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Professional phone voice and etiquette.
    • Ability to follow instructions and scripts.
    • Skilled in active listening.
    • Proficient with computers and good typing skills.
    • Strong time management and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of the FAFSA.
    • Knowledge of college financial aid and admissions processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a college financial aid office or administrative office.
