About the position
Responsibilities
• Oversee operational excellence of the department by providing strategic leadership and guidance.
• Manage staff including interviewing, selection, performance management, and professional development.
• Approve actions on salary administration, hiring, and terminations.
• Promote adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity policy and ethical standards.
• Provide leadership and technical expertise to business-critical supporting structures.
• Manage activities within assigned sub-department including resourcing and budget management.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement corporate policies and strategic business plans.
• Lead business development activities to obtain additional contracts and represent the organization in external meetings.
Requirements
• 15+ years of relevant experience in pharmacovigilance or related field.
• 8+ years of management responsibility.
• Experience leading and mentoring a technical team in pharmacovigilance.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in pharmacovigilance processes.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans for business growth.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience in risk assessment and management during mergers and acquisitions.
• Knowledge of new technologies and innovative solutions in pharmacovigilance processes.
