About the Role: Data Engineer in the Global Outreach Team
blithequark is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our Data Solutions and Initiatives (DSI) team within the Global Outreach group. DSI is a product strategy and engineering team that collaborates closely with business development and sales finance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test large-scale data solutions to provide efficient analytical and reporting capabilities across blithequark's global and regional sales and finance teams.
- Develop highly scalable data pipelines to load data from various source systems, utilizing Apache Airflow to orchestrate, schedule, and monitor workflows.
- Build generic and reusable solutions that can scale and leverage different technologies and frameworks to address our complex business needs.
- Ensure data quality through establishing data quality governance frameworks and anomaly detection capabilities.
- Understand existing solutions, customize them, and support them as needed.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data architecture, layered modeling, data warehousing, and data engineering.
- Strong expertise in design and development on cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and Large Data platforms like Databricks, Dresult, Hadoop, Hive.
- Proficiency in designing and developing custom ETL pipelines using SQL and scripting languages (Python/Shell/Golang) and workflow management tools like Airflow.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with performance tuning.
- Experience with modern data engineering concepts such as data lakes, data lakehouse, and distributed computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD practices, testing, and deployment tools for databases and software.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently, navigating through ambiguity, or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS or MS in Engineering/Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is between $170,700.00 and $256,500.00, determined by factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
