About the Role

This critical role is part of the Corporate Affairs Team within the Government Affairs Division at blithequark. As a Specialist, Government and Corporate Affairs Customer Service, you will be responsible for promoting and selling air travel on blithequark, preparing itineraries, computing fares, issuing refunds, and resolving customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell air travel on blithequark, ensuring that customers receive personalized service and tailored travel solutions.
  • Prepare itineraries, compute fares, issue refunds, and prepare and issue tickets, utilizing your knowledge of Native SABRE and other relevant systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding general travel information, resolving problems and addressing concerns in a mutually beneficial manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers over the phone, researching passenger complaints, advising on cancelled or delayed flights, and providing updates on new rules, policies, and procedures that may impact their travel plans.
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative, exercising good judgment and dependability in your work, while maintaining satisfactory attendance and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training, demonstrating a strong foundation in customer service, government affairs, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional education or experience in a related field, such as business, marketing, or public policy, which can enhance your understanding of the industry and customer needs.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the airline or travel industry, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and customer contact skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Native SABRE and other relevant systems, with the ability to learn new technologies and processes as needed.
  • Resourcefulness and creativity in resolving customer complaints and addressing problems in a timely and professional manner.
