As a Pharmacy Technician at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of prescriptions, supporting pharmacists, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of our experienced Pharmacy Manager and Supervisor, you will work closely with our team to provide top-notch support across multiple programs and clients. Your primary responsibilities will include data entry, prescription intake, and processing, as well as collaborating with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to ensure seamless operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized pharmacy professional to leverage their skills in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prescription Intake and Data Entry: Log information into our pharmacy database, triage prescriptions to the appropriate dispensing pharmacy, and ensure accurate and timely release of information to clients.
  • Pharmacist Support: Provide support to pharmacists related to prescription processing as needed, and assist with inbound call volume.
  • Eligibility Checks and Claims Testing: Run eligibility checks and test claims for patient prescriptions as required.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Compliance and Quality: Comply with all program policies and procedures, and contribute to maintaining a high level of quality in our services.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education will be considered.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Pharmacy Technician License: Current pharmacy technician license (national license preferred), or ability to obtain a license in the state of Texas.
  • Pharmacy Regulations: Understanding of pharmacy regulations for prescription processing.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Computer Application Skills: Strong computer application skills, including proficiency in database management and data entry.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Proven organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to new situations and priorities.
