About the Role
As a Customer Service Advocate at blithequark, you'll be the single point of contact for members navigating their healthcare journey. Your primary focus will be on resolving complex benefit and claim issues, promoting healthcare literacy, and connecting members to relevant resources. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of millions of people.
Key Responsibilities
- Listen actively and ask pertinent questions to identify member concerns, documenting inquiries related to medical, vision, dental, and pharmacy plan details, eligibility, and medical claims.
- Utilize multiple databases, tools, and partnerships to refer and enroll members in appropriate internal programs and specialist support.
- Interpret and simplify clinical/medical terminology and coding to empower members in managing their healthcare costs.
- Adapt quickly to changes in processes, policies, and guidelines, ensuring seamless support for members.
- Educate members on the fundamentals of healthcare benefits and plans, promoting informed decision-making.
- Assist members in maximizing community services, support programs, and available resources.
- Meet performance goals in efficiency, call quality, customer satisfaction, first call resolution, schedule adherence, and attendance.
Essential Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a customer service environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional support.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Availability to work Monday - Friday during specified hours (8:30am - 5:00pm and 12:30pm - 9:00pm CST), with occasional overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service environment, preferably within a healthcare insurance setting.
- Familiarity with blithequark Benefit Operations and experience.
- Background in healthcare insurance, with a deep understanding of the industry's nuances.
Telecommuting Requirements
- Ability to maintain the security and confidentiality of company-sensitive documents.
- Dedicated workspace that is separate from living areas, ensuring information privacy.
- Access to a high-speed internet connection that meets blithequark's approved standards.

Compensation and Benefits
blithequark offers a competitive compensation package, including a comprehensive benefits program, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (subject to eligibility requirements). For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, Washington, or Rhode Island residents, the hourly range is $16.00 - $31.44 per hour, based on factors such as education, work experience, and certifications.
