About the Role: Customer Service Associate
As a Customer Service Associate at Blithequark, you'll be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer experiences that drive loyalty and satisfaction. You'll be responsible for providing courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to our customers, ensuring that every interaction is memorable and positive. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Experience: Engage customers by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
- Sales and Checkout: Register sales on assigned cash register, provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service, and recommend items for sale to customers.
- Customer Service Best Practices: Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Operations: Maintain a clean and well-merchandised store environment, take inventory, and implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Regulated Products: Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
- Store Displays and Maintenance: Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, and assist with exterior and interior maintenance.
- Photo Area and Web Pick-up: Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, and assume web pick-up responsibilities.
- Training and Development: Attend training sessions and complete PPLs requested by managers or assigned by corporate.
Essential Qualifications:
- Previous Experience: 1-2 years of customer service experience in a retail environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations and operate a cash register.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Retail Experience: Previous experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a customer-facing role.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with store systems and equipment.
- Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills.
