About the position Responsibilities • Provides lessons or teaching in a variety of settings: in person, virtually, groups or individuals • Creates lesson plans tailored to students' ability levels, learning styles, grade level, curriculum and experiences • In accordance with individual educational goals, provides training and/or assistance to ensure growth toward goals • Listens to and responds to the needs of students, parents/guardians, and school district • Assists students to develop and/or maintain a structured study plan • Helps students improve and maintain self-confidence in the academic environment by ensuring a calm and quiet study environment • Aids in the development of adaptive and effective coping skills with academic-related anxiety • Facilitates access to community resources that assist students with educational/academic goals • Guides students to realize their educational and vocational goals and help attain academic outcomes • Utilizes State specific core curriculum content standards in every tutoring session and documents appropriately in tutor progress notes • Completes all mandated supervision and training as required • Advocates for students in all situations • May require bilingual abilities • Works as a member of a team and autonomously, setting goals for work tasks and using strategies to effectively meet goals Requirements • Teacher Credential Certification/Licensure as required by state or contract • Degree in Education or relevant field as required by state or contract • Experience in tutoring, preferred • 2 years teaching experience, preferred • Experience or credential in Special Education, preferred • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice • Participation and completion of the Company's competency program when applicable • Current CPR if applicable • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required • Computer proficiency required • Must be at least 18 years of age Nice-to-haves • Bilingual abilities may be requested • Experience in Special Education, preferred Benefits • Competitive pay & weekly paychecks • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance • 401(k) savings plan • Awards and recognition programs Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
