As a Data Analyst II, you'll be at the forefront of our Data Ventures team, working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze, interpret, and visualize data that shapes our business strategies.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst II, you'll be responsible for investigating, gathering, and analyzing customer data to derive meaningful insights. Your primary goal will be to create customer-driven dashboards that capture key performance indicators, enabling our product teams to make strategic decisions. You'll work collaboratively with various Data Ventures teams, combining your expertise to analyze, assess, and provide insights about our customers that drive our business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and product partners to solve complex business problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation to provide actionable insights
  • Define and evaluate key performance metrics for new product launches
  • Create data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of product initiatives and special business challenges
  • Identify new drivers to improve key financial data insights, understanding underlying drivers for change in metrics
  • Lead exploratory data analysis, including hypothesis testing, statistical inference, and statistical analysis
  • Work effectively cross-functionally and communicate data and insights to non-technical stakeholders

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong exploratory data analysis skills and the ability to make logical, data-driven recommendations and solutions
  • Experience with languages used to manipulate data and derive insights from large datasets (SQL, Python, Presto, etc.)
  • Strong storytelling experience with data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.
  • Experience with data quality tools like Google DataPlex (Collibra Data Quality or SAS Data Management or IBM InfoSphere Data Server)

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • A Graduate degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience in data science, data analysis, statistics, or a related field
  • Related industry experience (e.g., retail, marketing, healthcare, e-commerce)
  • Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Flash, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau)
