Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Digital Collections Live Chat Specialist to join our team. As a Live Chat Specialist, you will be responsible for responding to borrowers via various digital communication channels, addressing delinquent accounts, and providing tailored payment solutions to help customers overcome financial challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers, as well as processing payments and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly collection and metric goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with delinquent borrowers via multiple digital channels, providing empathetic and professional support to resolve financial issues.
  • Develop and implement personalized payment plans to help borrowers bring their loans up to date, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Process payments for borrowers with past due payments, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly collection and metric goals, consistently striving to improve performance and contribute to team success.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer complaints and concerns, promoting a culture of customer-centricity and continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of direct experience in credit and collections, with a strong understanding of sales, negotiation, and persuasion techniques.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and empathetic responses to customer inquiries.
  • Prior experience with financial products, preferably in a customer-facing role, with a solid understanding of financial concepts and terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong technical skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software and systems.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Team player with a professional demeanor, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups.
