Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll be responsible for:

Ticket Agent Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers and guiding them through the ticketing and baggage check-in process.
  • Using computers to sell, print, and reissue tickets, as well as manage the check-in process.
  • Ensuring customers have the proper travel documentation and tagging baggage.
  • Performing lifting tasks, such as transferring baggage from scales to conveyor belts.
  • Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Gate Agent Responsibilities:

  • Assisting customers with routing, trip planning, and gate boarding.
  • Using computers to provide customers with seat availability, make gate announcements, and manage the boarding process.
  • Operating jet ways and handling aircraft doors.
  • Practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful as a Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you'll need:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be proficient in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to pass a Customer Service Assessment.
  • Frequently lift bags or items weighing up to and including 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Willingness to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Authorization to live and work in the country at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Experience working in an airport or travel industry environment.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
