Job Overview

As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst Intern at blithequark, you will be part of a team that drives business excellence through data-driven insights. This 12-week internship, scheduled from May 21 to August 9, 2024, will provide you with hands-on experience in data analysis, process improvement, and compliance. You will work closely with our Quality Control team to identify trends, develop metrics, and present findings to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements to drive business insights.
  • Assist in creating and delivering results from complex data and analysis to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries and provide analytical support to enable senior leadership to make informed business decisions.
  • Present insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to facilitate stakeholder understanding.
  • Develop and distribute specific queries to pull and integrate data from various sources, establishing the cadence and validating the need for data requirements.
  • Identify process anomalies through reviews/audits and communicate findings to the team.
  • Evaluate process effectiveness by monitoring for trends and errors.
  • Ensure a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as directed by the team leader.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong ability to gather, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey ideas and present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to assess business issues, identify opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase.
  • Ability to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications.
  • Previous internship, capstone projects, and research coursework.
  • Ability to work effectively in a strong team/help environment.
  • Previous internship experience in a related field.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
