Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing customer queries and complaints across multiple communication channels, including phone, email, and letters
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries and providing timely resolutions
  • Processing orders, modifications, and escalating complaints in a professional and efficient manner
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
  • Communicating with customers through various channels, including phone, email, and letters
  • Acknowledging and resolving customer complaints in a fair and timely manner
  • Knowing our products inside and out to provide accurate information and answer questions
  • Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
  • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary to ensure seamless customer service
  • Providing feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process to drive continuous improvement

Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative in our Claims Inquiry/Claims Research team, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering questions and resolving issues based on phone calls, letters, and other correspondence from members, providers, and plan sponsors
  • Triaging resulting rework to appropriate staff and providing excellent customer service for high-volume inbound provider calls
  • Conducting extensive claims research on multiple platforms to assist providers with payment questions
  • Providing customers with related information to answer unasked questions, such as additional plan details, benefit plan details, and member self-service tools
  • Using our customer service threshold framework to make financial decisions to resolve member issues
  • Explaining member rights and responsibilities in accordance with contract

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in a highly transactional call center environment, preferably in health care or a related field
  • Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • High-speed internet access (25 mbps or higher) and a consistent connection
  • A dedicated workspace with a direct connection to the router (NOT Wi-Fi)

Training and Development

We provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in this role. You will be required to attend 4 weeks of virtual training, Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8-5 CST. After training, you will work a permanent schedule, Monday-Friday, with flexible start and end times (as early as 7 am CST and as late as 7 pm CST).
