About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at PepsiCo, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's digital future. You will be responsible for leading the development of high-quality software applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision and guide a team of experts to build and support digital products and services (DPS) across S&T core needs.
  • Drive partnerships with Client Experience, Product Management, IT, Data and Analytics, Emerging Tech, Innovation, and Process Engineering teams to deliver the Digital Products portfolio.
  • Develop software development strategy using industry standards, creating a roadmap and timeline of execution based on business requirements and strategy.
  • Lead multi-discipline, high-performance work teams delivered across remote locations virtually.
  • Build, manage, develop, and guide a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software applications.
  • Communicate with executives across the organization to lead the account around computer programming.
  • Create and expand DPS capabilities through a customer-focused, services-driven digital solutions platform that leverages data and AI to deliver automated and personalized experiences.
  • Manage and appropriately escalate delivery obstacles, risks, issues, and changes attached to the engineering drives to the stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to recommend solutions that best meet the strategic needs of the business.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
  • At least 3 years of relevant software development and engineering leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in architecting issue-tolerant, high-scale distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring/SpringBoot ecosystem, JUnit, BackEnd MicroServices, Serverless Computing, and creating REST APIs (BACK-END focused job).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), Google Cloud, or Amazon Web Services and cloud-specific PaaS and SaaS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

Preferred Qualifications

To stand out in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with high-throughput cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Experience implementing and consuming large-scale web services.
  • Deep knowledge of design patterns.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Ability to run a large team of engineers and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • A salary of $25/hour.
  • A bonus structure based on performance and eligibility, with a target payout of 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
