Job Summary

As the Senior Manager, Global Upstream Marketing - Trauma, you will lead a team that develops and directs effective marketing strategies for our Trauma portfolio. You will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing customer needs, and translating those needs into specifications for future-generation products. Your goal will be to drive business growth, improve customer engagement, and maintain the strength of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and trends. Analyze data to gain insights that inform marketing strategies and product development.
  • Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and execute effective marketing strategies that drive business growth, improve customer engagement, and maintain the strength of our portfolio.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of marketing professionals to achieve marketing goals and objectives. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team members' success.
  • Product Life Cycle Management: Develop and implement product life cycle management (PLCM) plans that align with our business strategy.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor market activity, penetration, and competitive wins or losses. Provide insights and recommendations to inform marketing strategies and business decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Clinical Affairs, and Sales, to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing strategies.
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets and resources to achieve marketing goals and objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ Years of Experience: At least 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on medical devices or a related industry.
  • Marketing Expertise: Proven experience in developing and executing effective marketing strategies that drive business growth and customer engagement.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading a team of marketing professionals, with a focus on developing and coaching team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA: A master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Medical Device Experience: Experience working in the medical device industry, with a focus on Trauma or a related area.
  • People Management Experience: At least 2 years of experience managing people, with a focus on developing and coaching team members.
  • Public Speaking: Experience with public speaking, including presenting to large groups and stakeholders.
  • Product Life Cycle Management: Experience with product life cycle management (PLCM) and new product development (NPD).
  • Project Management: Experience with project management, including managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
