About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative (Student Loan Advisor) at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our customers, addressing their questions, and resolving any issues they may encounter. Your primary responsibilities will include taking incoming calls, utilizing chat functionality, and making outbound calls as necessary to deliver top-notch service and ensure customer satisfaction. You will be expected to practice active listening, empathize with customers, and communicate clearly and professionally in a positive and respectful manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize standard technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers to interact with customers and provide support.
- Navigate pre-scripted responses to provide accurate and helpful information to customers.
- Follow established policies and standard operating procedures, including working within various systems, maintaining accurate timekeeping, and adhering to ethical and privacy rules.
- Assist customers with filling out applications and submitting them electronically for processing.
- Complete call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication skills, and the ability to speak and read English clearly and fluently. You should be proficient in typing at a minimum of 35 words per minute and have experience working with personal computers and the Windows operating system. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, the ability to multitask and stay organized, and a strong command of the English language.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
- Experience working with personal computers and the Windows operating system.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a contact center environment.
- Knowledge of contact center technology.
- Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word.
- Excellent command of the English language and effective use of grammar skills.
- Excellent communication etiquette.

Work Schedule and Remote Work Opportunity
The schedule for this role is as follows:
- Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm
- Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
- Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
- Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
- Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm
