**Job Summary**
As a Patient Care Advocate, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and stakeholders, providing support and guidance on a range of topics, including prescriptions, clinical services, billing inquiries, feedback, and suggestions. You'll work collaboratively with our team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and support, and that their experiences with us are positive and memorable.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Patient Care Advocate, your key responsibilities will include:
* Receiving inbound calls and performing outbound calls to patients or physician's offices regarding orders for medications, pharmacy services, and any other non-clinical inquiries.
* Adding or updating insurance and pharma information in patient's records, or collecting insurance information and alerting appropriate teams to update the patient's account.
* Creating patient activities as reminders for follow-up tasks, including but not limited to:
+ Follow-up calls for patients
+ Initiating discharge of services
+ Contacting a patient's doctor office
+ Mailing a letter to a patient
* Completing client and/or pharma-specific duties to satisfy the needs and expectations of customers.
* Working collaboratively on disease-focused teams to provide best-in-class customer service.
* Connecting patients with pharmacists for counseling and clinical inquiries as required.
* Completing all additional special handling duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
+ Drug shipment notifications
+ Adverse Drug Event Reports
* Escalating calls to clinicians, insurance verification teams, specialized teams as required.
* May work on special projects and/or programs, provide bi-lingual support, and be cross-trained in other departments, including but not limited to:
+ Specialized teams
+ Support teams
+ New patient/enrollment teams
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and stakeholders.
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and provide effective solutions.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
**Preferred Qualifications**
