About the Role

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be an integral part of our Fulfillment Continuous Improvement (FIT) group, empowering the team to drive ceaseless improvement within our operational cycles. This role is situated in a remote work environment, offering a fantastic opportunity for flexibility and work-life balance. As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for driving results in a high-speed climate, fostering a culture of safety, stream, waste elimination, and defect reduction across our fulfillment centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of a team that improves processes across our fulfillment network, with accountability for driving process consistency and improvement, including safety, quality, speed to customer, and cost reduction activities.
  • Standardize processes and create consistency across our fulfillment organization, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with our fulfillment leaders to create a culture of continuous improvement and waste elimination by building capabilities and acting as an influencer.
  • Lead or facilitate events and workshops with our fulfillment teams, driving high-visibility projects and implementations for your process area from start to finish.
  • Act as a mentor to fulfillment center Site Managers, Operations Directors, and Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure operational excellence.
  • Be a subject matter expert on continuous improvement tools and methodologies, working effectively with cross-functional groups, including Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Planning, Category Management, Supplier Performance, Data Analytics, Marketing, Product Performance, and Strategies.
  • Develop and monitor the effectiveness of management schedules and metrics, recommending and implementing changes as needed to ensure business objectives are met.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, with an MBA preferred. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Analytics, Technical, and/or Business preferred.
  • Background in Continuous Improvement, Site/Team Leadership, Industrial Engineering, ideally in e-commerce fulfillment or distribution/manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Significant experience with Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Process Improvement practices within a high-volume, fast-moving organization.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills across different levels of management and the ability to collaborate with all levels of operation in the field.
  • Ability to inspire others to strive towards a culture of Continuous Improvement, with high energy and a coaching approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence in a fulfillment or logistics environment.
  • Experience with data analysis and performance metrics, with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
