Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Special Education Teacher to join our virtual team as a 100% remote contractor. As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with K-12 students across Illinois, providing individualized instruction and support to help them thrive in an online learning environment. Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, with a strong foundation in educational theory, research, and practice.
  • Active Illinois Special Education teaching certification, with a deep understanding of state and federal regulations governing special education.
  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL), demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs, with a focus on student-centered planning and collaborative teamwork.
  • Prior experience working in a virtual setting is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of the technologies and strategies that support online learning.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, including IDEA and 504 plans, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practical and innovative ways.
