Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and licensed customer service representative to join our team in Grand Junction, CO. As a Licensed Branch Customer Service and Sales Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our members, providing exceptional service, promoting our products and services, and driving revenue growth through sales and retention efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of support services to members related to sales and service functions, including insurance policy servicing, application processing, and travel bookings
- Generate leads, update members on travel and insurance specials, and provide travel information to drive sales and revenue growth
- Provide cashiering services, including processing payments, handling remittance/depository transfers, and balancing cash drawers
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and refer complex issues to senior agents or management as needed
- Participate in office events, community activities, and promotional campaigns to promote blithequark products and services
- Collaborate with travel and insurance agents to provide administrative support and assist with basic training for less senior personnel
- Conduct outbound promotional calls to promote insurance and travel products, and meet sales targets and performance goals
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Active State Property & Casualty License or the ability to attain within 90 days of start date
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in customer-focused service, insurance policy servicing, and sales
- Strong knowledge of insurance and travel terminology, regulations, and underwriting procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including Word, Excel, and web-based operations
- Ability to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends, and participate in community events
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in insurance, travel, or a related field
- Knowledge of travel systems, such as Focal Point, Viewpoint, ITT, or AXIS, and/or insurance systems, such as PPS, POS, IMS, or IPM
- Experience with sales regulatory and compliance guidelines, and a strong understanding of underwriting procedures
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
