**Job Summary**
We're seeking experienced adjunct faculty members to teach online courses in a variety of subjects, including English, mathematics, science, and social sciences. As an adjunct faculty member, you'll be responsible for teaching one or more courses within your field of expertise, developing curriculum, and contributing to the growth and success of our students. This is a remote work opportunity, and you'll have the flexibility to work from home and create your own schedule.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Teach one or more courses within your field of expertise, including developing curriculum and assessments
* Engage students through discussion, assignments, and lab exercises as outlined in the course syllabus
* Provide students with substantive feedback in a timely manner and respond to student questions and concerns
* Attend departmental meetings, professional development, and events virtually at least once during the teaching term
* Participate in our 7-week Teaching Online Pedagogy and Standards (TOPS) course, which covers best practices and new developments in online teaching and learning
**Essential Qualifications**
* A minimum of a master's degree in the particular field of study relating to the course (for example, if the course being taught is an English Composition course, the candidate should hold a master's degree or higher in English)
* Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is a must
* Online teaching experience is preferred
* Candidates with experience using technology in the classroom are strongly encouraged to apply
**Preferred Qualifications**
* A doctoral degree in the particular field of study relating to the course
* Experience developing curriculum and assessments
* Experience teaching in a variety of settings, including online and face-to-face
