Job Overview

As an Ambulatory Care Technician II, you will play a vital role in assisting medical providers and ensuring the efficient operation of our clinic. You will work under the direction of a registered nurse to provide patient care, facilitate patient throughput, and maintain a safe and clean environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist medical providers with orthopedic procedures and other medical tasks as requested
  • Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and providing patient education
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including setting up exam rooms, instruments, and equipment
  • Facilitate patient throughput and room turnover to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Model appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Technical Degree or Diploma in Medical Assisting required
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an ambulatory care setting
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or HeartSaver
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills

  • Strong patient assessment and communication skills
