  • Enjoy a comprehensive benefits suite, including health, dental, retirement matching, and a relocation bonus when needed.

Core Responsibilities – What Your Day (or Week) Looks Like

As the Remote Construction Project Manager, you will be the central hub of information, decision‑making, and execution for a diverse portfolio of government construction contracts. Your duties include, but are not limited to:

Project Planning & Estimating

  • Review Invitations for Bids (IFBs) and develop accurate cost estimates that align with client expectations and fiscal constraints.
  • Conduct comprehensive material take‑offs, ensuring that every component of the bill of materials (BOM) is precisely accounted for.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams on Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to secure competitive pricing for critical supplies.
  • Prepare final bid proposals that integrate schedule, cost, and risk analysis for stakeholder approval.

Scheduling & Execution

  • Develop detailed, performance‑based project schedules using Microsoft Project and Procore, incorporating milestones, critical paths, and contingency buffers.
  • Lead virtual kickoff meetings, aligning cross‑functional teams—design, engineering, safety, and subcontractors—on scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor daily progress, generate and review change orders, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to keep projects on track.
  • Oversee on‑site crew activities, providing remote leadership, guidance, and real‑time problem‑solving as needed.

Financial Stewardship

  • Track project budgets, forecast cash flow, and implement cost‑control measures to protect margins.
  • Make key financial decisions that align with company profitability and uphold strong customer relationships.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, variance analyses, and performance dashboards for senior leadership and government clients.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, regulations, and security standards—including SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) requirements and ICD‑705 specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments, maintaining OSHA 10 compliance at all times.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of permits, inspections, and certifications to satisfy audit trails.

Travel & On‑Site Presence

  • Participate in CONUS and OCONUS site visits for surveys, technical reviews, and critical execution phases, averaging approximately 50% travel across the year.
  • Coordinate travel logistics, ensuring compliance with security clearances and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
