Remote Platform Distribution Operations Coordinator – Global Content Delivery, Partner Management & Monetization Strategy for Disney Streaming Services
Who We Are – The Magic Behind the Moments
The Walt Disney Company is more than a name; it’s a universe that spans movies, television, theme parks, and digital experiences that reach billions of fans worldwide. Our Platform Distribution Operations team sits at the heart of this ecosystem, turning iconic stories into seamless, high‑impact experiences across every screen, device, and market. From Disney+ and ESPN+ to Star, Hulu, and emerging FAST (Free Ad‑Supported TV) platforms, we design, launch, and optimize the delivery pipelines that bring beloved content to audiences wherever they choose to watch.
Why This Role Matters – Your Impact on Global Distribution
As a Remote Platform Distribution Operations Coordinator, you will be the connective tissue linking technology, sales, legal, and external partners. Your work will accelerate new product rollouts, streamline contract execution, and safeguard the quality and compliance of every piece of content that reaches our fans. In short, you will help Disney keep the magic moving – on time, on budget, and with the highest standards of performance.
Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day
- Multi‑project coordination: Build and maintain project roadmaps, define milestones, and deliver status updates for concurrent operational initiatives across linear, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, audio, and transactional services.
 - Partner onboarding and launch support: Work hand‑in‑hand with new and existing distribution partners to activate content, verify technical specifications, and drive revenue‑generating launches.
 - Technical & contractual liaison: Translate contractual obligations into actionable delivery, data, measurement, and advertising requirements; provide subject‑matter expertise during sales negotiations.
 - Content delivery execution: Oversee the end‑to‑end flow of linear network feeds, FAST channels, VOD assets, and airline entertainment, ensuring compliance with platform specifications for set‑top boxes, mobile, PC, and emerging hardware.
 - Rights Management assistance: Verify distribution and music rights for first‑ and third‑party platforms; coordinate with legal and rights teams to resolve any clearance issues.
 - Monetization support: Partner with finance, research, and sales teams to forecast revenue, analyze performance metrics, and feed insights into technology roadmaps.
 - Deal renewal facilitation: Drive the collection and analysis of renewal questionnaires, summarize contractual language for strategic reviews, and maintain organized documentation.
 - Documentation & reporting: Manage project trackers, delivery specifications, boilerplate contracts, and reporting dashboards; create presentations, training decks, and executive summaries.
 - Relationship building: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (sales, operations, production, legal, finance) and external entities (vendors, technology providers, distribution partners).
 - Vendor contract negotiation: Support negotiation of service agreements that expand monetization capabilities and ensure favorable terms for Disney.
 - System administration: Curate data on B2B platforms such as Affiliate Zone; perform routine maintenance on distributor databases (e.g., AIS, Business Intelligence, Syndi, WordPress, Cerebro).
 - Data ingestion & validation: Receive, review, and reconcile partner data feeds; conduct digital advertising audits by platform to verify compliance.
 - Live event coordination: Manage blackout windows, megaphone authorizations, and metadata validation for real‑time events and special broadcasts.
 - Compliance verification: Ensure all contractual obligations—measurement, advertising, usage rules, authentication, and delivery—are met and documented.
 - Team culture champion: Contribute to an inclusive, open environment that encourages candor, communication, and collaboration across geographies.
