About the Role: Making a Difference in the Lives of Students

As a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) with VocoVision, you will play a vital role in providing speech services to K-12 students, with a primary focus on elementary students and consultative support for middle and high school students. This role is designed to offer flexible hours, allowing you to manage your caseload and schedule effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments to determine students' speech and language needs, using a variety of evaluation tools and techniques
  • Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans, tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each student
  • Provide engaging, remote speech therapy sessions, utilizing innovative teletherapy tools and strategies to promote student participation and progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordinated support for each student
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports
  • Attend relevant meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans

Requirements for Success:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Idaho Licensure: Be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Idaho
  • ASHA CCC-SLP Certification: Hold current ASHA CCC-SLP certification, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field
  • Prior Experience: Have prior experience working in a school-based setting, preferably with elementary students
  • Teletherapy Skills: Be familiar with teletherapy tools and comfortable working in a virtual environment, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Diverse Populations: Have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those with varying learning styles, abilities, and cultural backgrounds
  • Bilingual or Multilingual Skills: Be proficient in one or more languages, in addition to English, to support students with limited English proficiency
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations: Have a strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing special education, including IDEA and Section 504
