About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated 5th Grade Teacher to join our team in a hybrid work model that combines remote and in-person teaching. As a 5th Grade Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a engaging and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students. You will be expected to develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Oregon Standards and promote academic excellence, creativity, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Oregon Standards and promote academic excellence, creativity, and critical thinking.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social responsibility, empathy, and respect for diversity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and social responsibility.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress and involve them in the educational process.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement enrichment activities that promote student engagement and motivation.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A current and appropriate Oregon Teaching License.
  • Experience teaching 5th Grade students.
  • Strong knowledge of the Oregon Standards and ability to develop lesson plans that align with these standards.
  • Experience with integrated curriculums and ability to employ a variety of instructional strategies.
  • Strong technology skills and ability to use digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build positive relationships with students, parents, and guardians.

Preferred Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • An ESOL endorsement.
  • Training and/or experience with integrated curriculums, technology skills, collaboration and teaming skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or bi-cultural or multi-cultural background.
  • Science of Reading knowledge and training.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
