Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our team in Mount Juliet, TN. As a Behavior Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, providing one-on-one Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum
  • Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans and monitor progress
  • Implement discrete trials, behavior support, and treatment plans as established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
  • Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a strong commitment to professionalism and reliability

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred
  • Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting, or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs, perform fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sit on floor level or in a chair, or stand for periods of time
  • Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
  • Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
