**The Role**
The Financial Analysis and Reporting team within blithequark's Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Estimating group is responsible for driving the company's largest source of revenue: Trader Markdown Income. This team works closely with various colleagues to determine the optimal pricing that enables vendor acceptance of blithequark while striving to improve inclusion and vendor satisfaction. By leveraging client-driven pricing standards, more adaptable pricing engineering, and innovative pricing arrangements, we drive GMS income and profit growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Part-Time Data Entry Specialist – Financial Analysis and Reporting, you will be responsible for:
* Creating a Canada figure for shipper rebate income track month-to-month execution against forecast and identifying drivers of change
* Developing vendor rebate income scorecards for the Canada district
* Driving normalization and process improvement among the different local pricing groups for all reporting and determining related activities
* Supporting external reviews, including investigating issues found, reaching out to the regional pricing groups that handle the vendor relationship to discuss issues, and managing goals
* Performing ad-hoc data analysis to assess rebate rate trends and uncover insights
**Essential Qualifications**
* 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other finance-related roles
* Bachelor's degree required; finance/Accounting/Business preferred
* High proficiency in Excel is required
* Strong attention to detail and organization
* Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from large financial datasets
* Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required
* Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
* Strong relationship with management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives
* Strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a high-speed, dynamic team environment, which places an emphasis on driving results
* An innovative thinker who will challenge traditional approaches to getting things done and develop new ways to tackle old challenges
* Strong project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution
* Enthusiastic focus on the client; demonstrated willingness to understand and address client needs and pain points
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests and priorities as needed
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business
* Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, and business intelligence tools
* Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and outside the box
