About the Role

We are seeking experienced and compassionate tutors to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome learning challenges and achieve their academic goals. Tutor Position Details

  • Location: Atlanta, GA
  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, with flexible scheduling to accommodate instructional needs
  • Pay Rate: $20 per hour
  • Benefits: Eligible for paid time off, vacation, sick leave, and closure hours; 401(k) benefit after 6 months of employment; company-wide discounts on various services and products

Responsibilities

As a tutor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group instruction, in-person or online, implementing specific lesson plans under the direction of Learning Center leadership
  • Facilitating the use of the curriculum provided for Lindamood-Bell Academy students
  • Interacting positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive learning environment
  • Managing client records electronically using a computer

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree, Early Childhood Education certificate, or actively pursuing a degree is acceptable
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience is not required, but a passion for helping others reach their potential is essential
  • Skills: Excellent reading, spelling, and comprehension skills; basic computer skills and the ability to type notes about student performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching experience: Previous experience in a teaching or tutoring role is highly desirable
  • Specialized skills: Experience working with students with learning challenges or disabilities is an asset
  • Language skills: Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage
