Job Overview
We're seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team as a Marketing Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our Data Science team, playing a key role in building and maintaining reporting dashboards, managing marketing reports, and providing insights to inform strategic decisions. You will work cross-functionally with various teams and leverage multiple data sources to enhance our reporting capabilities and support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting Dashboards:
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards to automate data sharing.
- Manage Looker Studio reports, regularly checking to ensure data links function correctly.
- Develop new dashboards as needed in Looker Studio, Power BI, and other data tools, providing assistance and training to team members on how to use reporting and data tools effectively.
- Support ad-hoc dashboard and data requests.
- Marketing Reports and Presentations:
- Develop, update, and manage marketing reports and presentations for internal and external leadership teams.
- Maintain and update standard monthly reporting, including metrics such as customer tracking and subscription tracking.
- Compile recurring decks for business reviews, Board of Directors reviews, and Extended Leadership Team meetings.
- Channel Reporting:
- Provide comprehensive reporting for various marketing channels, including but not limited to Paid Search, Social, Email, and Display.
- Manage the marketing performance report to deliver insights to internal stakeholders for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the data science team to test and validate new reporting/modeling features.
- Implement a two-step process for building and reviewing new reporting elements to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Data Navigation and Analysis:
- Navigate various data sources, including sales data, health data, advertising data, marketing content metadata, survey data, and event data.
- Leverage third-party data providers such as Google Analytics, AdWords, Facebook Insights, etc., to enrich reporting capabilities.
What You Need
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of related professional experience, preferably in a marketing or e-commerce environment.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience in at least one of the following: SQL, Python, and/or R.
- Personal Qualities:
- Passion for data and experience using data to glean insights that propel business growth and success.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with both digital marketing metrics and data sources, including Google Analytics and advertising platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team setting.
