About the Role: Program Coordinator of Music Technology and Screen Scoring
We are seeking an exceptional Program Coordinator of Music Technology and Screen Scoring to provide planning, production, and administrative support to the Scoring and Recording Sessions for the Contemporary Music Division. The successful candidate will have a strong background in music technology, screen scoring, and event planning, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate session details in partnership with music contractors, recording studios, and Thornton faculty
- Review union contracts, assist in program budget oversight, and vendor payments
- Hire and pay student musicians, handle session logistics, and plan and schedule sessions in coordination with Scoring and Music Technology faculty chairs
- Provide event planning and scheduling support, including coordination of personnel or equipment to offsite sessions and events
- Maintain departmental calendars, coordinate guest visits to campus, and manage departmental Zoom events and meetings
- Assist with financial management, including budget tracking, opening requisitions and purchase orders, and paying student workers and guest musicians
- Provide administrative support to the Program Chair of the Music Technology and Screen Scoring Programs, including meeting consistently to inform and help with administrative functions and meet deadlines as needed
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of directly related professional experience working in administrative support of a related academic program or related music industry role
- Training and/or experience in music education or performance
- Experience working with music contractors and union agreements
- Knowledge of fiscal and vendor management
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Outlook
- Exceptional customer service and team mindset, with highly organized and self-starter skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to succeed in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining high customer service delivery standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in higher education and/or customer service
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for interacting with both domestic and international stakeholders
- Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to plan, implement, and coordinate program logistics
- Demonstrated database/data entry experience and proven project management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
The hourly base salary range for this position is $27.50 - $30.50, with a competitive compensation package that includes a range of benefits and perks.
