Job Overview: (USA) Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled individual to join our team as a (USA) Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee. This role is based in our innovative remote office and offers the best of both worlds, combining the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative environment of our team. As a Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee, you will be responsible for driving success through a diverse skill set, including leadership development, customer service, financial management, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, utilizing tools like Tour-to-Teach to provide feedback and guidance.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards common goals.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, and managing customer service initiatives to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Drive financial performance and sales in designated store areas by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and developing action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, and identifying and communicating goals and objectives.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • 2 years of college education
  • 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience
  • 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience

Additionally, for facilities that sell firearms, you must be willing to undergo a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and complete Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, you may need to obtain a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing
