Forklift SUMMARY: The Material Handler is responsible for handling and moving all products as needed for the facility by performing the following key responsibilities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Support all converting equipment to ensure accurate, steady supply of WIP and packing supplies.Remove completed wrapped and tagged product from all converting equipment and transfer to designated storage areas.Inspect product to ensure tags are in place and accurately identify the material.Scan product and place finished product in the receiving area.Transport product to the staging area and load the product in a truck after it has been properly cleaned and inspected.Read, interpret and understand all product load tags.Minimize product damage through safe and careful handling.Inspect finished product to ensure quality packaging specifications are met.Ensure all paperwork and system transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner.Accurately and thoroughly fill out daily production records and enter in the computer system.Maintain full compliance of all GMPs.Maintain housekeeping excellence Follow all safety procedures and promote safety & safety programs throughout the facility.Perform all required customer and departmental quality checks.Participate and ensure department is compliant with AIB audit regulations.EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED preferred.Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.Prior work experience in a corrugated manufacturing plan.LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:Criminal background and drug screen check required for hire.Must have experience in a manufacturing setting.Forklift License.TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:In-depth knowledge of company and customer quality and quantity expectations.Knowledge of production floor material needs and operational flow.Ability to safely drive, maneuver a forklift and load/unload trucks.Knowledge of safety and health requirements, and applicable programs.Ability to effectively manage time.Demonstrate ability to organize information.MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.Forklift TelephoneWill be exposed to some dusty and noisy conditions periodically.Must be able to work with other personnel in meeting production goals.SeatbeltREPORTING RELATIONSHIPS & DIRECTION/GUIDANCE:Reports To:Shipping/Receiving ManagerDirect Reports:This job has no direct supervisor responsibilities. Will assist the Production Manager and Plant Manager with accomplishing specific projects as assigned.
